The Level 2 qualification is designed for new entrants to the industry, providing them with the basic skills and experience they need
What are the entry requirements ?
As this is predominantly a distance learning course you should be employed in the electrical trade to gain knowledge of the practical activities involved in electrical installation work - It is recommended that students have minimum grade C English and Maths or Science or Electrical background knowledge.
What will I be doing on the course ?
The course will provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry within which these activities are carried out.
How long will it take to complete the course ?
As the course is predominately distance learning, the length of time to complete it is up to the individual, you could complete it in approxiamately 10 weeks or over a period of 10 months. This course covers the basic principles of electrical installation.

201 - Health and safety in building services engineering Assessed by multiple choice on-line exam and a practical assessment
202 - Principles of Electrical Science Assessed by multiple choice on-line exam
203 - Electrical Installations Technology Assessed by multiple choice on-line exam (open book (IET On-Site Guide))
204 - Installation of wiring systems and enclosures Assessed by 1 written assignment and 2 practical assessments
210 - Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering Assessed by multiple choice on-line exam
